A: Kevlar® is DuPont para-aramid fiber. Kevlar rope is manufactured by braiding or twisting aramid yarns. It has about 5 times the tensile strength of steel at the same weight. Features: low elongation, heat resistance and cut resistance. It is a static rope with nearly no creep.
A: Kevlar is DuPont’s brand name for para-aramid. Aramid is the general material category including Twaron, Technora and other para-aramid fibers. When customers mention aramid rope, it may not be genuine DuPont Kevlar. Please confirm raw material brand before quotation and sampling.
A: Elongation at break: 1.5%~4.5%. It has very low stretch and belongs to static rope, so it has poor shock absorption capacity. Breaking strength varies with diameter, construction and fiber grade. It has almost no creep under long-term static load.
